Vallad gets sixth FCSAA award this season

For the sixth time this season the FCSAA awarded SJR State Softball player Alyssa Vallad for her outstanding work on the field.

Vallad, a sophomore from Riverview, Fla., was 3-0, with a 0.78 ERA in three appearances and recorded complete-game victories vs. South Florida State, Lake-Sumter State and Pasco-Hernando State.

Vallad struck out 10 in an 8-0 win over South Florida State and totaled 18 innings in the circle, allowing 11 hits, four runs (two earned) and seven walks while striking out 22.
